Aruba has different tradiotions one of the most populer is Carnival that takes place every year in the month of January and February. Everyone give allot of time and afford for the season of Carnaval, by preparing there group, costume and carriage. The origin of Carnival can be found thousands of years ago. The word is derived from the Latin carne vale, meaning farewell to flesh, referring to the time when many Christians gave up eating, drinking and unacceptable behavior for Lent. The onset can be traced back to ancient celebrations held for gods.
Colonization introduced this phenomenon to the New World and brought it to the Caribbean.
